NME ditching its print edition. Iconic legacy publications get assimilated on a fading platform.

It was the go-to publication for the music junkie for decades.

Now it is ditching print to “expand” its “digital presence.”

At one point, print outlets wanted to expand into radio, television, digital…and maintain its print presence.

But as this generation is disposable with short-term memory, legacy now has a stigma. 

Tides will turn when a collective sees plastering a social media wall with selfies will make you as forgettable as the next guy.

But until then, expect more titans to silently place all their eggs in the digital basket…
